Dutch pronunciation is unique and distinctive โ with sounds that don't exist in English. But don't be discouraged: once you learn the key sounds and patterns, you will be able to read Dutch aloud with reasonable accuracy. And Dutch people absolutely love it when foreigners make an effort to speak their language!
Best Tip!
Listen, listen, listen! Watch Dutch TV shows (try "Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden"), listen to Dutch radio stations, and mimic native speakers as much as possible. Your pronunciation will improve dramatically just by hearing the language daily.
